Industry - The industry clusters in Maverick County features three prominent sectors. About 23 percent of Maverick County's labor force works in the trade, transportation and utilities industries. Another 25 percent of the population is employed in the education and health services fields. Also, nearly 32 percent of the labor force is employed in federal, state and local government.
