In 2008, Lowes, the second largest home improvement retailer worldwide and the seventh largest retailer in the United States, constructed a $3.9 million, 112,000 square foot retail center in Eagle Pass. The popular retailer opened its Eagle Pass location in July 2008 and created 120 new jobs.
Mall de las Aguilas - Mall de las Aguilas, managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, is the site of over 50 specialty and major retail stores and services in a facility that covers nearly 450,000 square feet. In 2007, Mall de las Aguilas added new specialty stores and one of its premier stores, Bealls expanded and modernized its location to over 62,000 square feet. In 2006, another anchor store, JCPenney, enlarged its mall location to over 80,000 square feet.
